Barcelo Maya Beach Resort Weddings – Mayan Riviera Mexico

On the Caribbean coast of Mexico, right on one of the best beaches in the Riviera Maya and surrounded by a lush natural park 500,000 square meters, is the Barcelo Maya Beach Resort, designed to provide an unforgettable wedding experience. All the images were taken by myself on Dec 2009.

Weddings at Barcelo Maya Beach Resort are available Mondays to Saturdays from 12.00 pm to 6.00 pm All weddings must be booked in advance. To do so you may contact the Wedding Team directly at the resort. Your wedding date and time is confirmed when you receive a written confirmation from your resort’s Wedding Team.

Wedding Locations:

* Civil weddings and symbolic weddings are on the Beach or in the Gazebo in the Barceló Maya Palace Deluxe

Music:

* Some of the packages have the live music included during the ceremony.
* It can be a Guitar and Bass Duet. A violinist, a saxophone or a Mariachi
* The bands and DJ can be in the wedding on the beach till 2.00 am
* The band prices vary between $25, 000 pesos and $70, 000 pesos or more
* A DJ for 2 hours for 100 people costs $600US.

Types of Ceremony:

Civil wedding: Civil weddings are celebrated by a jury and we give you the documentation needed to make it legal. For this kind of wedding we have different packages.

You have 3 different times during the day to get married, this times are choosen by de jury.

You can’t get married on Sundays or Mexican holidays. The ceremony is in Spanish, if you need a translator your wedding planner will assist.

Non legal wedding or spiritual: They are legal wedding but the difference is that you don’t have to do blood test and you don’t need any legal documents. We also have different packages for this kind of weddings.

The spiritual weddings are called Maya Wedding and are officiated by a Chaman.

Catholic: Catholic wedding is for catholic people and is made only in the chapel, which is located inside the resort Barceló Maya Beach Resort

Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach – Religious weddings will be made on the Chapel Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe

* You should book your wedding a minimun of 6 months in advance
